Winners and Losers of Week 4 vs Browns

The Vikings lost in a boring 14-7 game against the Cleveland Browns, which puts them into a bigger hole of a 1-3 record in the 2021 regular season. This week of "Winners and Losers" is much less descriptive due to the lateness of this article. These lists are in no particular order as well just listed.

5 Winners of Sundays game

1. Justin Jefferson:

JJ was one of the few bright spots on Sunday, he put up 84 yards on 6 catches along with a touchdown. Jefferson had a very solid day where he earned an 86.9 PFF grade.

2. Cameron Danztler:

After Breeland got "hurt" Cameron Dantzler came in and played exceptionally well. Dantzler now ranks #6 overall in PFF CB rankings where it seems as if the job is his to lose.

3. Patrick Peterson:

Pat P has had a confusing start to his Vikings career according to PFF. On Sunday he out the confusion to rest allowing a season-low rating of 52.1 when targeted.

4. Danielle Hunter:

Hunter recorded a sack on Mayfield along with some pressures, he now ranks top 5 in the NFL in both of these categories.

5. Everson Griffen:

Griffen recorded the second sack of his return of the Vikings on Mayfield along with some pressures, definitely looks like one of the guys we missed coming off the edge last year.

Losers of Sundays game

1. Vikings OLine:

The Vikings OLine received a pass-blocking grade of 28.5 along with allowing 17 pressures across the starting 5 lineman. 10 from Rashod Hill, 3 from Ezra Cleveland, 2 from Garrett Bradbury, 8 from Oli Udoh, and 4 from Brian O'Neill.

2. Vikings DLine:

The Vikings run defense was overall just bad. They gave up 184 yards and a touchdown on the ground over 38 carries, averaging 4.8 ypc. Huge runs were given up and it was just not acceptable.

3. Mike Zimmer:

Vikings are 1-3, things are not looking the best and Zimmer post-game said the run defense was not a concern or issue...I'll leave it at that.

4. Bashaud Breeland:

Breeland barely played but was horrendous for the time on the field. He allowed a 116.7 passer rating when targeted and is the worst graded CB in the NFL according to PFF at 107th.
